Aboulic General is not your average hospital. In fact our staff are normally into each other rather than their patients but thats not to put you off. With a wide range of cases and patients in urgent need of attention when your not off the clock down the pub or catching some 'shut eye' theres plenty to do.

Due to the nature of some of the contents of the site, graphic scenes of medical trauma, pictures in some cases the site was made private and viewable to members only to avoid offending/freaking out those who happen to stumble across such things. We would prefer members to be over the age of 16 atleast but we have no way of knowing your real age.

You have been warned.

In order to get on well with both other members and our admins and mod as best as possible there are a couple of things you should do. These are not primary rules merely guidelines to keep things enjoyable.

* Post count is not an identifying factor on hierachy
Unlike most roleplay sites we are not based around post count. So if Bob has a hundred or so posts then you he is no way better then you. Like real life your medical rank is where your authority should lie. Eg. Medical Student -> Resident/ First Years -> Specialist/ Senior Doctor -> Consultant

* One liners are not acceptable
Many of the staff of the site RP at huge post lengths normally. However since this is a rather different site our average post length is between 100 - 200 words easy to accomplish with detail or a bit of quickly googled medical info. That might seem quite big but some of us have been known to post 2000 word posts on average. So show a bit of effort with your posts.

* Try not to ask stupid questions
If what you want to ask is quite obvious check our FAQ section or glossary to see if it's been asked before. This is a simple site. The only things you could possibly have problems with is the profile/application, medical exams and patient cases. All of which will have clear instructions and previous examples of sucessful versions.

* Literate posts
Theres nothing more annoying then trying to 'translate' a post. Remember a quick once over of what you've written takes only a few seconds. We don't want to hear excuses firefox has it's own spell checker but atleast make your post literate. We don't expect perfect grammer or spelling. Just basic punctuation and a post that can be understood easy enough with proper english. Sorry no text chat.

* Please use the search feature at the top of the page
Just check if something your about to post in one of the media sections or such things has already been posted or asked before. It'll save us both the time and you the embarassment of looking like a noob.

Lastly
* Enjoy the site
This is are main concern. If you have any problem of any description that you can't find a answer to or another member don't hesitate to contact us. Just remember to ask yourself the same thing first to check if your overreacting. Some of the admins here have weird sense of humors. Please do not take anything jokey said too seriously. If you find offense from it PM the person first and tell them so in a nice manner. Don't drag an argument out over the site, i don't want people being ganged up on.

Now go get yourself registered one of the admins should approve it within 24 hours. In the mean time you could get started on a character profile. The more detail you add here the more we'll like you. Heheh.
